Improving Quality of Life

What is Palliative Care

Palliative care is specialized medical care focused on improving quality of life for individuals living with serious or chronic illnesses. It is designed to provide relief from symptoms, pain, stress, and emotional challenges while helping patients continue the treatments and activities that are important to them.

Unlike hospice care, palliative care can be provided at any stage of an illness and may be received alongside curative or life-prolonging treatments. The goal is to help patients feel more comfortable, supported, and empowered throughout their healthcare journey.

Patients can receive care at their home or long-term care facility reducing the need for an Emergency Room visit or hospital stay. We coordinate care with your physicians and provide education regarding disease progression, medications and treatments.

Our compassionate team may assist with:

  • Pain and symptom management
  • Emotional and spiritual support
  • Coordination of care and communication with providers
  • Assistance with understanding treatment choices
  • Support for caregivers and family members
  • Improving comfort and overall quality of life
