Bereavement Services

Grief does not end after the loss of a loved one, and no one should have to navigate that journey alone. At Community Hospice, our Bereavement Services are designed to provide compassionate support, comfort, and connection for families and caregivers during the months before or following a loss.

It Can Help to Talk

When you lose a loved one, it is common to feel fragile, overwhelmed, and uncertain about yourself and the future. While these feelings are natural, they can also be difficult to navigate alone. Community Hospice offers free and confidential bereavement support services to anyone in the community who has experienced the loss of a loved one, not just families served by hospice. Services are provided by trained Bereavement Counselors and include individual and family bereavement counseling, support groups (link to support groups page), Memorial Services, and community grief resources designed to help individuals and families navigate the grieving process and feel supported throughout their journey through loss.

Contact our Bereavement Department today by calling any of our offices and asking to speak with a member of our Bereavement Team or call the Bereavement Department directly at 606-327-2636.

Memorial Services

At Community Hospice, our Memorial Services provide an opportunity to honor and remember the lives of the patients we have been privileged to serve. These meaningful gatherings offer families, friends, and caregivers a time for reflection, remembrance, and healing alongside others who share in their loss.

Family members and loved ones of the individuals being remembered will receive a personalized invitation in the mail to attend.

Grief Support Groups

Community Hospice offers a variety of grief support groups throughout the year based on community need and participation. All grief support groups are open to the public and are available to anyone experiencing the loss of a loved one, not just those served by hospice care.

Grief can often feel overwhelming and isolating, but you do not have to walk through it alone. At Community Hospice, our support groups provide a compassionate and welcoming space where individuals can connect with others who are experiencing similar feelings and life changes after the loss of a loved one.

Led by trained Bereavement Counselors, our support groups offer encouragement, understanding, and helpful coping tools in a safe and supportive environment. Whether you are newly grieving or continuing your healing journey, we are here to provide comfort, connection, and hope.
